Hey! So this week was pretty normal we worked and worked, I'm getting
used to my new comp and trying to find out how to work with him. We
had a baptism this week!! There was a 15 year old kid that was coming
to church pretty much every week and wanted to get baptized, we
planned everything out and made it happen. I didn't even have to teach
him he was already prepared, he knew all the lessons and so it was
super easy and fun. Unfortunately since we've been having baptisms we
have been lowering the number of people in our program. It looks like
we're going to be doing a lot of finding new people this week for as
long as it takes because we don't have much right now. We've been
working with a family that has been to church 4 times and they like it
but they have to get married and then they can get baptized. Hopefully
in July we can get them married so that they can be baptized before I
get changed because in the end of July is the next change. Anyway me
and Elder Gomez are doing good, we have been getting to know each other
a little and nothing out of the normal. I hope that everyone is doing
well, I am excited to find out when I will be coming home, the paper
that indicates the date should be arriving soon. Anyway I love and
miss you all! have a good week! ELDER WILSON

Change 12 Week 1
Hey! This week was a great week, we were pretty much preparing the baptism that we had Friday and the lady that was going to get baptized. She is cool a little weird but we had a good time teaching her and getting to know her. Now I have to teach her everything all over again so that she stays active and all that. I will send some pictures later today when I'm online after my new companion get here. Elder Brooks had changes today so he packed up all his stuff last night and now I'm waiting for my new comp Elder Gomez to come in from Machala. I know him and this should be a good change. I am going to send pics again and I hope that everyone was able to get the last ones because I have been getting emails back saying that the pics couldn't go through or something like that. Anyway I had a great time with Elder Brooks and I was excited to find out that I don't have to pack up and go. I'm going to work hard with the ward so that we can reach the potential of Centenario. I am excited to be here and I know that it's going to be a good change. Unfortunately my companion got here a little later then expected so I don't have a lot of time to write today but I will for sure make more time for next week! I love you and I miss you all tons!! Change 11 Week 6
Hey! This week was pretty good, we have been working hard with the people that we have in our program and its looking like we're going to have a baptism this week! We're pretty excited about seeing some fruits of our labors because there's hardly ever baptisms in this sector. This last week we were really walking a lot getting around fast trying to get in as many discussions as we could and even though the program isn't quite where we would like it to be we're doing good and are happy with what we have done. When I got here there was one lady who was already ready for baptism and after we got done planning and carrying out her baptism and teaching her the 5 lessons we had nothing basically. Luckily there was some people here and there that we had contacted and are now attending church, we have 3 investigators that now have 3 church attendances. Which is really good!!! Usually people kill to get people to attend church but here it's not that big of a deal but what I don't want to do is make the mistake of baptising someone when they have all that they need (attending church 2 times) and then they get a little cold. We are working with a couple that's not married and they are awesome, I'm going to be really sad if they take me out in a week because I love this family and they love having us over. For money issues they aren't able to get married until later this month but they are really up and are a great part of our program. We have another lady that's hopefully going to get baptized this week, who also has been to church 3 times and is a little timid but excited about baptism. She likes the church and she is cool to be around, she cooks at home for a hospital and always gives us food! I'm really starting to get attached to this ward and DO NOT want to leave. I'm scared about this change because I love the people and I love being here working with my investigators and my comp is just awesome. Although as you all know I have pretty much been changed time and time again so I guess we will see. Me and Elder Brooks decided that we wanted to go our in normal clothes this Monday and so I went to put some of my old pants on and they were a little tight, which means that its about time to drop the soda and start doing exercises. I know that you all don't really notice by the pictures but I have put on a little weight, I'm not sure if its because I've grown up or because of the food but I will be doing everything that I can to not come home fat. I love and miss you all, I hope that you had a great Memorial Day and that your all back to work so we can chat some!! ELDER WILSON

Change 11 Week 5 & New Pics!
Wow I can't believe that this week went by so fast, now that we're starting to have some new people and lessons the days just seem to fly right by. Last week was great, and I'm happy to say that we're really improving our program. This sector is really hard and I'm not really sure how many people we're going to have getting baptized in the inmediate future but I know that I have people and I'm going to try and help them in every way that I can. We have a bigger program and I'm now a lot more happy to be working and not having the zone leaders checking up on us every 10 minutes. This last week we had some fun and enjoyed ourselves with some of my old member friends, we had some family nights and are lookign forward to some more this week. I love getting families together because it's a great chance for them to get to know us and vice versa, and they also invite their friends so we can teach them and have new people. I know that the work is looking up and I know that this week is going to be just as good if not better. Me and my comp are good, he's happy to be losing weight and I'm happy to be here helping him in his progress learning Spanish and enjoying his mission. I'll send some pics after I get done writing back the people that have written me, I know that it's Memorial Day and there probably isn't that many people online but I hope to catch you all a little to chat. I love and miss you tons!! ELDER WILSON
Hey these are some pics that we took lately with an investigator, and the training that we have with president and of course that baptism that we had 2 weeks ago. Sorry it's been so long! ELDER WILSON

Change 11 Week 4
Wow 3 weeks down in this change already, I can't believe how fast it's gone by. Last week me and my comp were pretty much suffering because of the lack of new investigators. We didn't have many lessons to teach and our leaders were pretty much breathing down our necks trying to make sure we ended up with good results. We are having a really hard time getting people to progress and so that combined with the lack of people makes it really hard and not all that fun to work here in this sector. Although having a friendly loving companion makes everything a little easier because he always keeps me going. Even when the times aren't all that good we can pick up a conversation and have a good time talking about something that we enjoy from back home. I'm sorry that was so late writing today we were looking all over for a place to write, there was no one who had 2 computers side by side. I can't wait to get back into the real world where everyone has computers in their house and now a days the majority has it on there phone. lol. Anyway I'm doing good, really broke but I got some more money out of my personal account to buy my new pants and have a little emergency cash just in case my monthly money runs out. I love and miss you all tons!! ELDER WILSON

Change 11 Week 3
Hey! So as you all know we had a good week because the only people that are going to read this I was just talking to yesterday. This is going to be a fast day on the computer because I was just conversing with all my family yesterday. Anyway we had a baptism this weekend and it was an interesting service. We had to do the ordinance 4 times because this lady has back problems and she was scared of the water. It was a little nerve wracking watching my companion try and baptise her time after time and not be successful. Anyway other than that the week was normal. This part of Guayaquil is really not that great for having good numbers or a lot of lessons and that's becoming a concern for the leaders. They called all the district leaders to a meeting in the morning and that's not common on Monday's seeing as it's p day. I'm not a DL but I live with one and he said that it was a huge machete for not having people attend church and all this stuff. I'm nervous because me and my companion are committed to having 2 baptisms this month and it doesn't look like we're going to be able to meet this goal. It's whatever though I'm here to help the people and the rest will fall in it's place. Today or tomorrow I will be going out to a tailor to get me a suit made, I'm really excited about that. I know that it's going to come out awesome and that for the price it will be pretty much unbeatable. Anyway not that much going on today, just the normal until another change comes around. I love and miss you all tons!! ELDER WILSON

Change 11 Week 2
Hey! This week was a good week going back and finding all the people that I know from when I was here before and teaching all the new people that are in the program now. It's really interesting getting transferred to an old sector because I know a lot of people but then again a lot has changed. I was here last year in June and I'm here now in May so it's just about exactly a year and the people that didn't wanna progress last year I'm giving them a second chance. It's really interesting but I have to say I wish they didn't have to send me to this particular sector because I'm remembering more and more everyday how hard it was to be in this part of Guayaquil. We're working in the richest ward within our mission boundaries, and it's hard because the people that don't have anything are really humble and accepting to new things and on the other hand here there's tons of nice houses and members that have lots of money, and people are a lot more busy and less interested in the messages that we have to share. I like it here and I'm going to take advantage out of every day that I have whereas I know the people and the ward. We are going to have a baptism this week and we're excited because this lady is awesome, she is a really converted women and we're excited to help her get to this step in the gospel. She unfortunately has some issues with her back and so we have to plan a really good service and think of the best way that she can endure the baptismal ordnance without putting stress on her back. We have had a couple new people and 2 of them even came to church with us, so we were really happy with what we did last week and are looking forward to having a good change. Me and my comp are already good friends, he's from Arizona and he is a big boy, but losing weight and fast. He came into the mission at 290 lbs. and now weighs 230! Can you imagine that lol! Me and him get along great, and we have already been talking too much English. Working with him has made me realize how far I've come when I started because my Spanish is great and I don't know how or why but I really have just come a long way. He needs a lot of help and I'm here for that and it's a goal that we have to make him a better Spanish speaker. I can't wait to talk to you all this weekend! Hopefully you don't have too many things planned out and we can chat for a while because we won't be able to talk again until we're in person and I'm home in December! I love and miss you tons!!
